Swift Tower and Wildflowers at Neuadd Goffa Caerwedros
March 12th 2026

As part of the 75th Anniversary celebrations of Neuadd Goffa Caerwedros, members of 4Llan have been involved an exciting new wildlife project at the Hall.
On Sunday 15th March, a swift tower will be erected in the grounds to provide nesting spaces for swifts. These remarkable migratory birds that travel thousands of miles each year and return to the village every spring after spending the winter over Africa. The tower contains 16 nest boxes, helping to create more safe nesting sites for these much-loved birds when they return in May.
The project is part of a wider effort to support local wildlife around the Hall. Over 300 wildflowers have been planted in the surrounding grass to provide food for bees, butterflies and other pollinators. The Hall will also be taking part in No Mow May, allowing the grass to grow and wildflowers to flourish.
If you are passing by the Hall, please stop and have a look at the new tower and the developing wildflower areas.
This project has been made possible thanks to funding from Ceredigion Nature Partnership and the Welsh Government.
We’re looking forward to welcoming the swifts back to Caerwedros later this spring. 🐦
