Community Energy Meeting

Mary Gillie, the Founder of Energy Local C.I.C., joined 4 Llan’s board and members, as well as other interested local residents, for a community energy meeting on 8 November in Caerwedros Hall.  She presented the ground-breaking Energy Local model which helps communities get more value from small-scale renewable generation, by setting up Energy Local Clubs which use the energy locally.

4 Llan Secretary, Gareth Ioan and Facilitator, Teresa Walters presented some of 4 Llan’s progress with our own community renewable energy project, potentially involving both solar and a small turbine.  Nearly all 31 people present expressed an interest in both small-scale community energy generation and in forming a club to consume that energy locally and cutting costs for local members.
