4 Llan Community Land Trust Launches Development Project to Empower Local Communities
October 10th 2025

4 Llan Community Land Trust (CLT), serving the communities of Llanarth, Llanllwchaearn, Llandysiliogogo, Llangrannog, and surrounding areas, is proud to announce the launch of a transformative new Development Project—thanks to generous support from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Grannell Community Energy’s Community Benefit Fund.
“We’re thrilled to be starting this exciting new chapter for 4 Llan,” said Vice Chair, Wayne Lewis. “These funds allow us to lay the groundwork for long-term goals like affordable, low-carbon housing and community-owned renewable energy. But before we build anything, we need to build awareness, knowledge, and connection—with and within our community.”
Although the CLT’s long-term vision focuses on sustainable housing and energy solutions, the Development Project will kick off with a series of creative and inclusive activities designed to spark local engagement, inspire ideas, and build membership and momentum.
What’s in Store:
- Community Meetings to listen, share ideas, and shape the future—together.
- A Photography Competition & Exhibition celebrating local life and landscapes.
- Habitat Development Workshops focused on protecting endangered bird species.
- Shared Workspace Events to bring people together and foster collaboration.
- Research Visits for local residents to explore other successful community housing and energy projects across Wales.
All residents in the area are warmly invited to get involved. Membership of the CLT is open to everyone living locally, and each member has a vote—ensuring that decisions are made by the community, for the community.
“This is your CLT,” Wayne added. “Whether you’re passionate about housing, the environment, or just want to make a difference locally, there’s a place for you.”
