A CLT is a non-profit, community-led organization that owns and manages land and assets for the long-term benefit of the local community, ensuring affordability and community control. Constitutionally, 4 Llan is organised as a Community Benefit Society, which is a member-led non-profit company in which all members have an equal vote. This means that ALL members can be involved in deciding how best to meet the needs of the community – and everyone in the community can enjoy the benefits. There is an initial membership charge of £10 which includes the purchase of a ‘Membership Share’.
